Q: How did you get started in this business?
I first became interested in this field while study immigration and human rights law at university in the United Kingdom. I started practicing UK immigration law in 2006 while working for a large law firm in London. I qualified to practice Canadian immigration law in 2012 after moving to Vancouver, Canada.
Q: Can you describe your customers / what type of customers do you have?
The majority of our clients are skilled workers, entrepreneurs and investors applying for Canadian visas. We also submit application for entrepreneurs and investor moving to the U.K. through the Tier 1 Investor and Tier 1 Entrepreneur program.
Q: What are some of your “keys to success” in building your customer base?
We regularly write articles and updates on Canadian and UK immigration law which helps to drive traffic towards our site and increase brand awareness. We also strive to deliver a high standard of service and strict legal merits test to ensure that we only submit the best quality applications which have a high chance of success. We have been recognized by our peers as well as industry leaders with various accolades and awards which help to build our credibility and client base.
Q: Is there anything about your business that you feel makes it special?
We focus on niche areas of immigration law and also target immigration in different directions – i.e. our UK office mainly assists UK residents moving to Canada. While our Canadian office targets North American residents moving to the UK to join family, work or establish a business.
Q: Where do you see your business in the next year? In the next five years? In the next ten years?
We recently opened an office in Hong Kong so we hope to grow our following in Asia and eventually open an office in mainland China by the end of 2018. In five years we hope to be the established market leader for Canadian immigration services in the UK, Europe and Asia and for UK immigration services in North America.
